Stromovka is České Budějovice’s largest park with an area of 68 hectares. It is just a 5-minute walk from the city center and is used as a recreational zone. It lies on the western bank of the Vltava, hemmed in by urban development. The park is crisscrossed by a network of both asphalt and soft-top paths, popular among cyclists and inline skaters. The city center is connected to Stromovka by a cycling trail. The nearby Stromovka sports hall provides facilities for sports and cultural events.
