On the Vltava River Trail, you can cruise down a 98 km waterway from the Lanna Boatyard in České Budějovice via Hluboká nad Vltavou to Týn nad Vltavou and on to Koloděje nad Lužnicí, with its newly renovated Mitrowicz Chateau. A lock chamber in the Hněvkovice reservoir was completed in 2017, making it possible to boat down the river from České Budějovice to Týn nad Vltavou and onward to Lake Orlík. Small boats can go all the way to Hamburg.
